Lansing-area band A Story Told blends both conventional acoustic instruments like guitar and more unusual ones like hammered dulcimer to create an inclusive sound they describe as “ambient folk rock.” They will perform at (SCENE) Metrospace, unveiling their new live CD release, "Alive On The Horizon." Joining A Story Told will be Royal Oak-based duo The Marvins, a band featuring guitars and vocals from Peter LeClair and Carmen Paradise (formerly of Lansing bands Calliope, With Special Guest, and The Good Mornings). Rounding out the evening will be tuneful wordsmith Albert Alexander.
